2024 Jr. High Track & Field Parent Letter

Welcome to the Jr. High track and field program. We are very excited for Jr. High Track!  Below you will find information pertaining to our season.

Timeline: Practices will start Monday, April 1st.

Practice:

  • Normal practice schedule will be Monday-Thursday from 3:10-4:15 p.m., with the exception of the first two weeks where we will practice Monday-Friday to be ready for our first meet. (April 1st - 5th and April 8th - 12th)
  • We will communicate if there are changes.
  • Students will be expected to dress appropriately for activity and weather. Practices are required for participation at meets.

Taking Care of Yourself:

  • Drink water!!! If you start drinking water at practice it is too late. Student athletes should be drinking water throughout the day
  • Eat nutritious, well balanced meals
  • Wear sunblock
  • Injuries need to be reported to coaches immediately!

To Do:

  • Log in to register at:  www.psd285/org/athletics
  • Due by: The evening of the first day of practice
  • Sports Physical is required. If one has not been completed, it can be uploaded directly to the online registration or turned into the coach before beginning practice.
